Lumbar Spondylolisthesis
It is the forward shift or displacement of two adjacent vertebrae, with the upper vertebrae shifting forward relative to the lower vertebra.
Symptoms
- Low back and leg pain
- Pain in the legs that increases with walking and causes stopping and collapsing after a certain distance
- Development of cramps in the legs
Treatment Methods

2. Surgical Treatment
Surgical treatment may be necessary in the following cases:
- Patients with progressive neurological deficits (nerve weakness)
- Patients whose complaints persist despite medication and physical therapy
- Patients with posture and gait disorders
Treatment Goals
It is to relieve waist and leg pain, prevent the progression of slippage, stabilize the unstable segment, and correct posture and balance.
In surgical treatment, the compressed nerves are released and the vertebrae where the displacement is present are fixed with screws (platinum).
