Spinal Fractures

Spinal fractures are one of the most common causes of severe back and spinal pain, particularly in older adults. Many patients who were previously prescribed months of bed rest for osteoporosis (osteoporosis), cancer patients, and spinal fractures resulting from falls or minor strains can now be easily treated and experience rapid relief from severe pain.

What is Vertebroplasty?

Vertebroplasty is a special interventional treatment method used to treat fractures of the body part located in the front part of the spine, damage due to cancer, or some congenital vascular diseases.

During the vertebroplasty procedure, a chemical called polymethylacrylate (bone cement) is injected into the damaged spinal bone under local anesthesia and radiological control, strengthening the bone. The patient is discharged the same day or the following day.
